1. 4th of July Celebration

2. Arbor Day Celebration

   The Brainerd Parks and Recreation Department hosts an Arbor Day Celebration each year at Lum Park. Area elementary schools participate in educational stations designed to teach children the importance of trees.

3. Bike Safety Clinic

   At the Brainerd Lakes Bicycle Safety Clinic, there will be helmet fittings and giveaways, bicycle safety checks, rules of the road, safety procedures and riding the practice course.

4. Disc Golf Tournament

   The Brainerd Parks and Recreation Department hosts a free Easter Egg Hunt each year at Lum Park for children ages 2 - 9.

   The Great Pumpkin Festival is a free annual event with many activities including sack races, bouncy ball races, temporary tattoos, a giant bouncy slide, pumpkin giveaways and much more!

8. Kids Fishing Clinic

   The Kids Fishing Clinic consists of informational sessions, eating a shore lunch, fishing from the shore and off the pier, and taking some fish tackle home.

9. Mommy & Me Flower Pot Painting and Planting

   Make a lifetime memory by painting a flower pot and planting seeds.
