Park and Recreation Board

Purpose: The Parks and Recreation Board has control and supervision of all parks and parkways within the city of Brainerd. It establishes the recreation policy and conducts and supervises recreation areas, facilities, services and programs for all types of public recreation.

Meeting Dates and Time: Meets the last Monday of every month at 3:30 pm in the City Hall Conference Room.

Committee Membership: The Board is comprised of five members.

Council Liaison also serves on the Board.

Mayor recommends nomination/Council approves.

Qualifications to Serve:
  • Be a resident of the City of Brainerd or have an ownership interest in a business or other property within the City of Brainerd.
  • Interested in providing park areas and recreation services.
Length of Term: Five years.

Compensation: Volunteer.
