CHIEF'S WELCOME
On behalf of all of the staff at the Brainerd Fire Department,
welcome to our website.
The Brainerd Fire Department is a dedicated team of 40 firefighters and support staff that takes great pride in providing fire and rescue services to the City of Brainerd, City of Baxter and City of East Gull Lake and nine townships; including Crow Wing, Daggett Brook,
Fort Ripley, Long Lake, Maple Grove, Nokay Lake, Oak Lawn,
St. Mathias and Unorganized Territory.
The Brainerd Fire District is over 300 square miles.
We respond to an average of 500 emergency calls per year.
The Department will also assist you with the following:
- Fire Inspections
- Public Education
- Fire Extinguisher training for you or your business employees, as mandated by OSHA
- Assist with practice Fire Drills and Fire Escape planning
- Confined Space & Hazardous Material Awareness training
- Station Tours
- Blood Pressure Checks
MN Severe Weather Awareness Week is April 16-20, 2012.
Two statewide tornado drills will be held on
Thursday, April 19 at 1:45 p.m. and 6:55 p.m.
