Purpose

The Public Utilities Commission controls, operates and manages public utilities which are now or may hereafter be owned and operated within the City.

Committee Membership

The Commission is comprised of five members plus a Council liaison

Qualifications to Serve

• Be a resident of the City of Brainerd or have an ownership interest in a business or other property within the City of Brainerd
• Interested in the operations of the City Public Utilities Department

Length of Term

• 5 years

Compensation

• Commission President receives $200 per month
• Other members receive $175 per month
• Health and life insurance benefits are provided
