Public Education

Brainerd Fire Department offers fire safety public education to the community we serve.  This includes station tours and on-site visits for visitors, families, civic groups, daycares, schools and home schooled students.  We also provide fire extinguisher training for individuals, groups and organizations.

A community open house is held annually in October at the Fire Station located at 23 Laurel Street.  Tour the station, meet our staff, learn about the services we provide, watch demonstrations and participate in hands-on fire education activities.

Brainerd Fire Department firefighters provide tours of our fire apparatus and provide fire safety messages at special events throughout the year, including Night to Unite and various local festivals.

For more information or to schedule a public education event, please contact the Fire Station at 218.828.2312 during business hours.
